Qualifications & Experience

  • G.C.E. Advanced Level (A/L) qualification.
  • Part qualification from a recognized professional accounting or finance body will be an added advantage.
  • Minimum of 1 year of experience as a Billing Clerk in a hospital or hotel.
  • Good knowledge of Microsoft Office applications.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Self-motivated with the ability to work independently.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare accurate inpatient bills within the required timelines.
  • Ensure zero revenue leakages and prevent underpayments.
  • Conduct daily audits of existing bills to minimize discharge delays.
  • Collect interim bills and provide updated billing information on time.
  • Develop knowledge of Hospital Information Systems and hospital operations.
  • Handle customer complaints related to billing professionally.
  • Maintain accurate billing records in accordance with hospital procedures.
  • Support the finance team in maintaining efficient billing processes.
