Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, Auditing, or a related discipline.
- Professional qualifications such as CA Sri Lanka, ACCA, CIMA, CMA, or part qualification with relevant experience will be an added advantage.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in Internal Audit, External Audit, or Risk Management.
- Previous experience in manufacturing, trading, logistics, or diversified business environments is preferred.
- Strong knowledge of accounting standards, internal auditing principles, taxation, statutory compliance, and ERP systems.
- Excellent analytical, report writing, communication, and leadership skills.
- High level of integrity, professionalism, and ethical conduct.
- Willingness to travel across the Group’s business locations when required.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan and conduct operational, financial, compliance, inventory, procurement, payroll, and special audits across the Group.
- Evaluate the effectiveness of internal controls and identify operational and financial risks.
- Review accounting records, financial statements, inventory, project costing, procurement processes, and business operations.
- Ensure compliance with statutory regulations, taxation requirements, labour laws, and company policies.
- Prepare comprehensive audit reports with practical recommendations for process improvements.
- Monitor the implementation of corrective actions and strengthen internal control systems.
- Perform risk assessments and fraud investigations where necessary.
- Recommend business process improvements to enhance operational efficiency.
- Provide guidance and mentorship to junior audit team members.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives within the Internal Audit function.
