Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, Data Science, Information Technology, Statistics, Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
- Minimum 5 years of experience as a Data Engineer with experience in development and maintenance support.
- Experience in ETL development, data engineering, and scripting.
- Experience delivering Business Intelligence, Data Warehousing, Big Data, or analytics projects.
- Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Microsoft Azure, Hadoop, or GCP.
- Hands-on experience with Snowflake or Microsoft Fabric.
- Strong programming skills in Python, Scala, Java, Spark, PySpark, and Spark SQL.
- Knowledge of Agile or traditional SDLC methodologies.
- Relevant Microsoft or Snowflake certifications will be an added advantage.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain scalable ETL data pipelines for enterprise data platforms.
- Extract, transform, and load data from multiple sources into data warehouses and data lakes.
- Collaborate with data scientists, analysts, and business stakeholders to deliver high-quality data solutions.
- Implement data quality monitoring to ensure data accuracy, consistency, and reliability.
- Optimize data pipelines for performance, scalability, and cost efficiency.
- Develop and maintain data models, schemas, and metadata.
- Implement data security and privacy best practices.
- Troubleshoot and resolve data-related issues in a timely manner.
- Stay updated with emerging technologies and industry best practices in data engineering.
