Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor’s Degree or Diploma in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or a related field.
- Minimum of 7 years of experience as a Quantity Surveyor, preferably in the steel fabrication or construction industry.
- Strong knowledge of measurement, costing, contract administration, and procurement processes.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and Quantity Surveying software.
- Knowledge of AutoCAD measurement tools or equivalent software will be an added advantage.
- Excellent analytical, negotiation, and communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and work effectively under pressure.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage all aspects of project cost control, estimation, and contract administration.
- Prepare accurate cost estimates, Bills of Quantities (BOQs), and tender documents for steel fabrication and construction projects.
- Evaluate subcontractor quotations and perform procurement-related cost analysis.
- Monitor project budgets, variations, and cost reporting throughout the project lifecycle.
- Coordinate with engineering, production, procurement, and project teams to ensure cost efficiency.
- Conduct site measurements, valuations, and prepare interim and final accounts.
- Ensure compliance with contractual terms and commercial best practices.
- Support management with financial planning and project profitability analysis.
Required Skills
- Strong knowledge of Quantity Surveying principles and construction cost management.
- Excellent estimation, budgeting, and contract administration skills.
- Ability to prepare BOQs and tender documentation accurately.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Excellent negotiation and communication skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Quantity Surveying software.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
