Qualifications & Experience
- Minimum 2–3 years of experience in Data Center Operations, IT Operations, System Monitoring, or a related technical support role.
- Bachelor’s Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or an equivalent technical qualification.
- ITIL or System Administration Foundation certifications will be an added advantage.
- Familiarity with system commands, backup software management, and automated batch scheduling tools.
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel for operational logging and reporting.
- Good working knowledge of Microsoft Word for documentation and record keeping.
- High attention to detail and ability to work independently.
- Willingness to work night shifts and rotating shifts when required.
- Strong communication and shift handover skills.
Key Responsibilities
- Safely execute and monitor End-of-Day (EOD) and End-of-Month (EOM) batch processes across core banking and enterprise applications.
- Execute, verify, and document system backups in accordance with disaster recovery and backup policies.
- Perform routine infrastructure maintenance, including staging area housekeeping and monitoring the physical data centre environment.
- Collaborate with Application Support and IT project teams during testing, deployments, and administrative activities.
- Maintain activity logs, incident records, uptime trackers, and operational documentation.
- Assist in preparing Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), operational manuals, and compliance reports.
- Monitor system availability and promptly report operational issues.
- Ensure adherence to IT operational standards and security procedures.
