Qualifications & Experience

  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience in building maintenance, facilities management, or a similar role.
  • NVQ Level 4 or above in Electrical Engineering, Building Services, Building Maintenance, or a related technical field.
  • A Diploma or Certificate from a recognized institute will be an added advantage.
  • Good working knowledge of electrical systems, HVAC, plumbing, fire protection systems, elevators, generators, pumps, and Building Management Systems (BMS).
  • Ability to read technical drawings and maintenance manuals.
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
  • Computer literacy, including proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and respond effectively during emergencies.

Key Responsibilities

  • Supervise the day-to-day operation and maintenance of building services, including electrical, mechanical, plumbing, HVAC, fire protection, elevators, generators, and water supply systems.
  • Plan and monitor preventive and corrective maintenance activities for generators, UPS systems, fire protection and detection systems, automated car parks, and Building Management Systems (BMS).
  • Supervise contractors and service providers to ensure work meets quality and safety standards.
  • Respond promptly to technical breakdowns and emergency situations.
  • Maintain maintenance records, service reports, equipment history, and statutory compliance documentation.
  • Conduct routine inspections of buildings and facilities.
  • Coordinate with internal departments and external service providers.
  • Monitor spare parts availability and maintenance material inventory.
