Qualifications & Experience
- Minimum G.C.E. O/L or G.C.E. A/L qualification.
- A Degree or Diploma in Logistics, Transport Management, or a related field will be an added advantage.
- Minimum 2–3 years of experience in transport or fleet management, including vehicle maintenance.
- Knowledge of basic vehicle repairs and preventive maintenance.
- Basic mechanical knowledge and understanding of vehicle maintenance.
- Familiarity with transport management software will be an added advantage.
- Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
- A valid driving licence will be an added advantage.
- Good knowledge of traffic regulations and health and safety standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage transportation schedules to ensure timely deliveries and operational efficiency.
- Coordinate with internal departments to meet transportation requirements.
- Plan and optimize transport routes to improve delivery efficiency and reduce fuel costs.
- Track vehicle usage and ensure efficient vehicle allocation.
- Ensure all company vehicles are insured, registered, and compliant with local regulations.
- Maintain transportation logs, including routes, schedules, delays, and operational records.
- Conduct routine inspections and ensure scheduled maintenance of company vehicles.
- Monitor vehicle performance and address maintenance issues before they become major problems.
- Coordinate with authorized service centers for major repairs and maintenance.
- Ensure vehicles comply with health, safety, and operational standards.
- Maintain accurate records of vehicle mileage, fuel consumption, and maintenance history.
- Prepare regular reports on transportation performance, maintenance costs, and fleet efficiency.
- Assist in budgeting for vehicle maintenance, repairs, and transport-related expenses.
