Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor’s Degree in Food Science, Food Technology, or an equivalent qualification from a recognized institution.
- Minimum 3 years of experience in the food industry.
- Experience or strong knowledge of bakery, beverages, powder mix products, or meat processing applications will be a distinct advantage.
- Strong technical knowledge of food applications and product development.
- Excellent written and spoken English communication skills.
- Self-motivated, proactive, and capable of working independently.
- Confident in delivering presentations and product demonstrations.
- Ability to join immediately or on short notice will be highly preferred.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop application formulations and prepare product prototypes using appropriate ingredients and manufacturing processes.
- Conduct product evaluations, analytical testing, and sensory (organoleptic) assessments to ensure product quality and consistency.
- Estimate product costs and prepare nutritional information and product specification sheets.
- Improve existing formulations and recommend ingredient replacement solutions based on market trends and customer requirements.
- Troubleshoot customer issues related to ingredient applications and product performance.
- Analyze research and development findings and communicate technical insights to relevant teams.
- Collaborate closely with Sales, Production, and Marketing teams while supporting product demonstrations and food styling activities.
- Conduct in-house shelf-life testing and prepare detailed application reports.
- Maintain laboratory equipment, ingredients, technical databases, and documentation.
- Perform additional duties assigned by management.
