Qualifications & Experience
- Relevant Diploma or professional qualification in Quantity Surveying or a related field.
- Good knowledge of quantity surveying principles, cost estimation, and contract administration.
- Ability to prepare Bills of Quantities (BOQs), cost estimates, and project valuations.
- Familiarity with construction drawings, specifications, and measurement techniques.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, especially Microsoft Excel.
- Experience with quantity surveying software will be an added advantage.
- Strong analytical, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.
- Previous experience in the construction industry will be an added advantage.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare Bills of Quantities (BOQs) for construction projects.
- Prepare accurate cost estimates, project valuations, and tender documentation.
- Assist in contract administration and cost control throughout project execution.
- Review construction drawings and specifications to ensure accurate quantity measurements.
- Monitor project costs and identify opportunities for cost optimization.
- Coordinate with project managers, engineers, subcontractors, and suppliers regarding project quantities and costs.
- Maintain accurate cost records and prepare progress reports.
- Support commercial and contractual activities related to ongoing construction projects.
